“ This Italian restaurant was amazing this past Saturday. Our Deacon Ministry had a meeting/outing there on Saturday and the food, the service and atmosphere was amazing. I had the pizza, it was one of the best that l have tasted. Our group had a variety of Italian dishes as well and everything looked amazing. Our server was amazing! The owner was gracious. I had never knew this restaurant was even there. Please support this gem so that it can remain open. Anthony N. ”

“ The Pinoy & the Pisan are back, checking out Candela’s on Midlothian Turnpike at the suggestion of Mark Goad, with The Good Life RVA! This place is super cute & MADE for big parties! Just in the area we are sitting in, there are booths made to seat parties of 4 & 6 people. Tables for 2, 6, & 10, and a party room right next to the front door! We ordered toasted ravioli for an appetizer and it was GOOD! And there was virtually NO time from kitchen to table, as evidenced by the steaming hot marinara & food. SO good! With my wife’s lasagna, a salad was included. We chose the Caesar dressing, and it was a nice bed of crisp iceberg lettuce with thick slices of cucumber & tomato. We enjoyed it. She really liked the dressing. It’s more mustard-y than any Caesar that I’ve ever had, but it was good! The service was a team approach and attentive. My tea did not fully empty before I was asked if I wanted more. The lasagna my wife ordered was large and hearty. I ordered a personal pizza (10”) with pepperoni, sausage, & black olives. It was nice, the meat was spiced well, & the crust was very good! We enjoyed it! We’ll be back! ”

“ What can I say about Candela’s. This is a wonderful restaurant with family friendly staff and great food. I had the seafood Alfredo and my wife had a pepperoni pizza. Both we super fresh and great tasting. The portion size was enough to take some home and the amount of seafood inside dish was plentiful. The quick response to our orders was fast. We Sat, Ate and paid our check all less than an hour... We did go slightly before the dinner crowd, but the service was pretty quick. I highly recommend Candela’s on Robious road... ”

“ My four boys, their mother and I came on a rainy Monday night and were the only table in the restaurant. There were a few takeout orders going out as well. Issa was our server (I hope that’s spelled correctly). She was fantastic with all my children and was smiling the whole time. I can imagine it is hard working a shift where you stand around for 6 hours and barely make any money but Issa was still amazing. A gentleman who I’m pretty sure was the owner also helped with our food and was warm and welcoming on the way in and wished us well on the way out. I’ve always been a fan of the other location up the road and now In a fan of this one. My kids had an assortment of pizzas and subs which were delicious. I had the chicken parm. I was already pretty full after the giant side salad and bread but the few bites I had were delicious and I’ll eat the rest for dinner tomorrow. Thank you ”
